Hiking Today

Took a day trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Ander and Bella's first mountain hiking. They did awesome on a 2 mile moderate difficulty trail up to the top of Black Balsam. No carrying involved. We were very impressed.

This tree is about halfway up. At 6000 ft, all the trees thinned out into a handful of spruces and firs.
